How does a Mermaid Party work?
If you’re unsure where to start, our FAQ’s below are great place to get answers to any fishy questions! From how to book, to where we travel, and just how we get a Mermaid through your front door, below will have all the answers you need before your next event.
We travel all throughout the Perth Metro area, although we are happy to discuss travel to regional areas and nationally across Australia. Please note a travel fee may apply to your booking, and this will be communicated to you during the booking process.
We limit the number of children for our packages to ensure we can deliver the best quality party possible whilst also maintaining safety of the performers and children. Some packages such as Face Painting will have less children as more time is required to face paint. Additional time or extra performers can be added to a package for an additional fee.
Our water based packages are available from November through to April. This is done to ensure safety of both performers and children from cold water which can impact the experience of the party. Land based packages are available year round, and we will also consider year round parties for indoor heated pool leisure centres.
All of our Mermaids are high quality, trained performers and use premium silicone mermaid tails and premium accessories. Rest assured that no matter which Mermaid attends your party, you will experience the same magic and expertise!
We will do our best to provide you with your chosen Mermaid however this cannot always be done due to Mermaid availability. Your Mermaid for your event will be confirmed at least 48 hours before your booking.
We generally advise our clients to set the Performer arrival time at least 30 minutes after the start of your party, to allow your guests to arrive.
As part of our pre booking process, we’ll send you a detailed email on how the day will unfold including how our performers get in and out of your home. Generally we ask that children are kept occupied and away from the party area on arrival so we can set up, and are taken away from the party area at the conclusion (This is a great time for cake!) so we can exit and maintain the magic.

If you don’t have a location set yet, contact us and let us know where you’re planning to hold the party and we can determine if a water based or land based party is best suited for you.
Once you’ve requested a booking and WA Mermaids confirms availability, we’ll send through a booking agreement for you to sign which needs to be signed and submitted to confirm your booking. Following that you will receive an invoice that will need to be paid at least 48 hours prior to your event.
